Welcome 2011!

Hello, I haven't posted for a long time, but now I decided to write my blog a little bit differently than in the past. 

I want to write a bit different than the other jewelry blogger's do. 

I have to admit I had a small crisis about my blog at the end of the last year. I was wondering why and how and stuff like that. I shouldn't care about any of the stuff others do or don't so I'm gonna write a bit more often than I did (that shouldn't be hard 2 posts in the last 2 months :O)

But a little bit different posts, cause at the moment I don't make that much jewelry. There are costs you know, and as long as I'm not selling, I can't produce a lot. I will still be making jewelry just for your information, yeah, just saying.

I don't even know what inspired me to do this, life I guess, cause I like blogging and writing about stuff, but I always seem to think that the content is not proper for my jewelry blog. 

That's a lot of stupid talk, I know I'm never eager to read all of these long texts, but I appreciate all of you who read this through ;)

So, as you know, I have an Etsy shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/MadLemonJewelry# , but I guess, that Etsy isn't my place to sell my  jewelry, but it was worth a try.

Today was kind of a talk about post, tomorrow, I promis, there will be a new post, and I think it's going to be a DIY project, cause I'm gonna do them more often.

You can make miracles with silver wire and round nose pliers (tools), Mika concert

These earrings are actually made a month ago when I discovered that you can do amazing figures with wire and some right tools like flat nose pliers and round nose pliers. I made some undefined shapes, two of each and later I attached the crystals. It's easy and you can do everything you want. and while wearing they are all light and twirling. I think there was some kind of a tool to make the two pieces identical but I love the little differences.

I almost forgot to talk about MIKA concert in Tallin on the 3rd of August. It was just wonderful. I'm not a fan but I liked it. A lot. It was just colorful in every possible way.
I just have to mention that rain has caught us too often past week: two times soakind wet and nothing to do about it.
Oh and I have an not amazing ability to ruin the best days with some things really bad .. like.. like being a bad girl in a bad way and getting caught by the bus controller's or bus police or smth like that. It really ruins the day..

Seed bead balls, turtles

Hey!

I was with my cousin for two weeks and I couldn't post. But all good things have to end so she went back home today. As she says she is from the country side. She usually said : "Maalt ja hobusega". But I'm not able to translate that so it would sound as good.
We managed to go to listen to a concert in a valley in Tartu. Some estonian groups which (thinking of now)consisted only of men. Strange. Oh sorry 1 woman for 20 men too..

I never planned to do turtles. They just happened when I was unsuccsessfully trying to do seed bead balls similar to the ones below. They looked really like turtles to me so I made legs and heads for them.

They are a pair in love :), How cute!

Football World Cup 2010

I know it actually started a week ago but I just have to mention it. Because I'm a weird girl who really likes to watch football games and if there's one my TV is definetely on. I don't say that no girls watch it but I really enjoy it too.

 My mood went up when 2 weeks ago I thought that yes, It's finally here 2010 football world cup in Republic of south Africa (in estonian simply LAV - Lõuna-Aafrika vabariik ;)). 

My favourite player is Gianluigi Buffon, Italian goalkeeper. I don't even remember how I began to like him but it happened the previous World Cup. maybe it was that penalty in the middle of the game he saved. Don't remember. But in the game for gold I was on Buffon's and French side. How weird is that. Eventually Italy won so half win ;).

I also like Petr Cech, but sadly Czech republic didn't qualify. Sad but true.

Football even gave me the idea how to make these balls.

I learned to make these balls with a help from footballs, I tried to make hexagons balls but I failed, bacause if you put hexagons to hexagons connecting sideways the thing just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

So this is the trick to make these balls

It's summertime

It's finally sumertime which I had been waiting for so long .. For 9 months actually. Cause school just isn't my thing. It takes my life away.. 

And I sure do wanna live so.

We don't have our school reports(if this is a word) yet bacause we were in Lithuania, Palanga for our trip.

It was so superb. All the sand and the sun. It was quite warm too, considered it was still spring.

We met so many wonderful people (from Paide ;)).. And that was so wonderful. Kinda' new. The first time we actually became friends with them..

Good memories.. 

The other night there was a class from Põlva, but we didn't talk to them much.

But our guide was a creepy lady.. She didn't care at all what we needed or the teachers said so, weird.

Soo, eurovision.... Paradise on earth, no relations!

So.. yesterday there was Eurovision song contest in Oslo, Norway. I haven't watched it for 2 years properly, but this year I watched and found that last year's songs were a bit better with some exceptions.

Germany won. Lena.. She had great voice, memorable song too. Our commentator in Estonia (Marko Reikop) couldn't resist to say almost 15 times, that Lena's grandfather was estonian, so. It was pretty funny how everytime he said it we were like duhh, come on we heard you the first time...

I thought that the best song won..

The second was Turkey and MaNga - "we could be the same". Quite normal song. The tune haunted me for the rest of the night and today too. It was like a decent rock song.

Third was Romania what I didn't like so much. Paula Seling and Ovi - Playing with fire. 

There was a news that the male singer's - Ovi's hand was injured at rehersal with fire. Irony huh?

I don't know which place Belgium was, but the man with guitar was pretty good, I really liked it. Tom Dice - Me and my guitar here. 

There were some good songs more but I'll let them be. (Although denmark was so awful I shouldn't even say.

Greek singer was a little stiff, but that's a song contest not a dancing one.

Jessy Matador.. danced better than the dancers behind him, but I'm not sure he sang very much.

P.S Alexander Rybak is still handsome a sings verrry good ;). Though I still wouldn't be running after him like an usual 15-year-old girl.

Do you sometimes wonder whether to do something abnormal or not. I do. I have sometimes have some kinda thoghts like, what the hell why not, but when I do it, it may look like I'm an idiot. Soo ... yes I've done stuff like that and I have no regrets, no examples what I've done, but couple of years ago when I was like 10 or something I wanted to jump off of the cliff (no I'm not suicidal, far from that) to grab the trees tops to hang there (and I trulty believed that I wouldn't crash into the earth), I don't know why I wanted to do that, conclusion - I'm crazy!!

Yesterday I thought that there should be a show where people (like me) can really try out these crazy stuff like jumping off cliffs for adrenaline rush..

It's always nice to blog and yesterday I discovered my old-old diary. It really was intersting to read that. 

I wrote the whole summer down. I think I'm gonna repeat it this year's summer. It felt so good, but in the end I felt like I can't stand the diary no more.

But to read it! U should try writing a diary cuz it makes you feel sooo good.

Golden dreams are now in fashion

So, my jewelry is kind of my style. I haven't seen anyone making jewelry like this, I sometimes wonder where the ideas come from. Or where other people's ideas come from, is ir nature is it the materials or something else.
Why is everybody's jewelry different, why there isn't two jewelers whose jewelry is the same. Everybody's different and nobody's perfect (I sometime wonder, there's a nice sentence in English: Nobody's perfect, I'm nobody, so does it mean I'm perfect?).

Today I visited Camyland, it is the shop where estonian designers sell their jewelry, bags, clothes and accessories. Their work especially the jewelry is so different from mine, it's an another class (not that I think that mine is better or worse than theirs but it's just so different). I just wonder, go look for yourself when you live in Tartu, Estonia.

Snow is a blessing from heaven! *cold*

It's been 3 weeks, cuz I've been in Tenerife and snowboarding and skiing in Finland.
Yes, the temperature was 30°C in Tenerife and it was -5°C in Finland, but it didn't ruin anything.
Snow is just so awesome when you know what you're doing.
I'll talk about Tenerife later. At the moment I want to share my skiing trip.

So at first it was pretty awkward when I was on the snowboard, I couldn't turn and fell, I've been snowboarding for 3 years, but it was my 4th time on board so I'm not very experienced. But when you get it then there's no worries. I got it. No worries.
Even the tracks with big slopes, I snowboarded through them too. The only thing bad on snowboard is that you might not make it to the ski lift and have to jump to get there. There's no that kind of a worry on skis.
To the end of the trip I had done awesome jumps on skis and minor jumps on snowboard . And I made it without falling .

But everything that's left from "keski-himos-projekti" was closed only the right side länsirinteet was open .
